Kalbarri Open Air Fest Success

Mar 2024Events, Stories

Thank you to all of our supporters, sponsors, bands, and every single one of you who bought a ticket and showed up. It takes a massive effort, time and energy to get an event like this off the ground and we couldn’t have done it without you all. Kalbarri Open Air Festival gave the Kalbarri community a great event, and connected so many of us in the music community, just as we expected. We all now have more friends and collaborators. Our bands have absolutely loved playing and had great experiences doing interviews and social media, and enjoying what Kalbarri has to offer. To the people of Kalbarri and the greater Geraldton region, thank you. There truly is nothing like the spirit of country people who make up a community and get things done. The look on the faces of those in the mosh pit, the smiles and laughter, the dancing, bouncing, and the kids running around showed us how much the event meant to you all. As organisers, this is by far the best possible outcome of putting on KOA. These benefits far outweigh the cost and energy it has taken us to deliver it. We couldn’t be more happy – the event itself has just been a bonus to all these wonderful, priceless things. Even the boys in blue were happy with how it went and told us how good it was!

Special shout outs to Bloodhunt Richie MotorV8ed Sound alive, Alex, Dutchie, Nathan, Tim, Dylan, Tony (Dying Degree), Misty (Shadow-World Photography), Juzzy AppleBite, Tammy n Jayson (@rock and metal show), Wendy from the North Hampton shire, Mick, Amanda, Tyler & crew from the bar. Many hands make light work. You all played a huge part in lightening our load and showed us your beautiful genuine souls. The Shire of Northampton, Des Pike and Councillors who supported the event, Fred & Kalbarri Town Talk, Kalbarri Tudor, Bean Drifting & Wild Ocean products, thank you. You made a lot of people very happy.

We can’t wait to see you all next year! Last but absolutely not the least, Thank you Kimberly Zehra for your daily efforts over the last few months getting this fest of the ground. It would not have happened without your Incredible intelligence, perseverance, patience, and love for all the bands.

Peace, love and joy to you all.
