Hello all good people of Kalbarri and a very warm welcome to December 2022. This is traditionally a very busy time for the club, and November was no different. On Wednesday 28th October was our monthly painting challenge. This months works shop was entitled – Land Scapes. This was another successful challenge with some wonderful and creative works developed.
On the 2nd November was our monthly Yarn Club. For more than just a good yarn, (although there are plenty of those as well) this monthly event is to encourage and develop all crafts based on yarn. Come on down for a fun and creative day. On the 7th November, the club commenced getting into the Christmas spirit with a workshop on reindeer making. The basis of these were corks. Check out below some of the amazing creations by club members. On the 9th November the club hosted St John Ambulance with some first aid training. As you are aware, first aid is such an important part of a small community, and the Kalbarri Arts & Crafts group would sincerely like to thank St Johns (Nick) for coming to our club and refreshing first aid knowledge to our members, and sharing some morning tea.
On Wednesday 16th November we commenced our long awaited Turkish lamp making workshops. Due to the number of members participating in this course, it was broken down into three separate workshops. Check out some of the wonderful works being created on the days.

The Kalbarri Arts and Crafts group is a wonderful social place to be. We are at the Shed every Monday and Wednesday (Including Public Holidays) from 9am -12 noon. Members of the public are welcome to pop in for a chat, and see what our crafty members are up to. While you are here why not check out the Top Deck Gallery and see the works for sale.
We are now open to non-members ($10 per visit). Please feel free to come on down and see what we are up to and join us. The cost is $50 for the Year (1 April 2022-31 March 2023). That’s less than $1 per week for great company and a hot beverage.
Until next time have a great crafting time and we hope you finish what you start.
