Here’s our pick of our favourite things to do in Kalbarri during December.
- Catch a wave at Jacques Point (not for the faint-hearted). We think it’s the biggest and best left hander in Australia!
- Enjoy our popup markets: 1st, 12th, 19th and 26th December on the foreshore.
- Grab a beer at the pub! We think every day’s a good day for a frothie (or two). Why isn’t this number one?
- Go for a swim at delightful Blue Holes, early mornings are best to beat those hot summer winds.
- Book in for dinner at the Edge Resort, a cosmopolitan dining experience to rival those in the city!
- Go horse riding at Big River Ranch, it’s a must do unique experience, enjoy our beautiful bush and river on horseback.
- Grab a burrito or giant spring roll from our illusive food vans. You never know where or when they may pop up so keep your eyes peeled. Rare and delicious.
- Take an early morning or sunset trek into our coastal gorges – we like Pot Alley the best, and it’s way too hot (and far) to trek to river gorges at this time of year (unless you go super early and take plenty of water).
- Take the kids to our adventure playground. Don’t forget your sunscreen! Its hours of enjoyment for little ones at zero cost. The flying fox is our favourite.
- Enjoy lunch at the award winning Finlays – whilst dinner is often booked well in advance, you might just be able to grab a sneaky lunch on the day. Did we mention they also make their own beer?
- Take a sunset stroll along the foreshore, once the bite of the sun has gone for the day, you’re in for some stunning summer nights!
- Nothing on the hook? Can’t be bothered cooking? Give it a rest and get your takeaway fish and chips from Jetty Seafood – a fresh and tasty treat for the whole family.
